Alameda County Health Announces New Brand Identity

Alameda County Health Care Services Agency (HCSA) is now Alameda County Health (AC Health)! Headquartered in San Leandro and serving over 1.66 million residents in the seventh most diverse county in the nation, AC Health promotes and protects the health and well-being of all who live, work, learn, and play in Alameda County. We support a robust and culturally responsive health care safety net through programs, services and supports that care for the whole person. 

The new logos and names were developed with input and feedback from staff and community partners. Our new brand identity celebrates the diversity of our communities, services, and staff, and reaffirms our commitment to health equity. We’re making it easier to see the connections across our programs and services. 

Throughout this next year, our building signage, communications collateral, official documents, and our websites will be gradually updated. Our main goal is to ensure that our partners and residents can easily find and engage with the information and services they need.  

While our name and logos are changing, our mission, vision, and the structure and strength of our agency and our commitment to clients and residents remains the same. We will continue to coordinate across our systems and with community partners deliver high quality services and improve health outcomes for Alameda County residents. 

AC Health includes the following departments 
and major programs:

• Behavioral Health Department (previously known as ACBH, Alameda County Behavioral Health) 
• Environmental Health Department (previously known as Department of Environmental Health) 
• Public Health Department (name remains the same) 
• Housing and Homelessness Services (previously Office of Homeless Care and Coordination)  
• HealthPAC (no name change) 
• EMS Agency (no name change) 
• Healthy School and Communities (previously the Center for Healthy Schools and Communities)
