Shelter Health and mobile clinic services are provided by Alameda County and Alameda Health System and are designed to bring health services to the “front door” directly to shelter, recovery, and transitional housing locations and other places homeless individuals access services, including Wellness Centers, homeless service centers, and soup kitchens. Services are free of charge and you do not have to make an appointment to see us at shelters and mobile clinic locations.

- Flu vaccines (October – April), and Hepatitis A Vaccine
- TB tests (by appointment)

- Housing/shelter resources
- Transportation assistance
- Referrals, coordination, and linkage to:
- Alcohol/drug treatment
- Dental care
- Eye exam/glasses

Alameda County Health Care for the Homeless’ (ACHCH) collaborates with Alameda Health System to operate a mobile clinic providing urgent care, care coordination, linkage, and referrals to community resources. Services are provided free of charge to people experiencing homelessness and on a first-come, first served basis.
Staff from Alameda Health System include a medical provider, medical assistant, social worker, registration clerk, and van driver. The team provides friendly and accessible care, including linkages to ongoing primary care at Alameda Health System outpatient clinics and other community clinics.
