Alameda County Vector Control Services District is a Division of the Environmental Health Department, which is part of Alameda County Health. Our mission is to prevent the spread of vector-borne disease, injury, and discomfort to the residents of the District.  We control insects, rodents, and other vectors and eliminate causal environmental conditions through education and integrated pest management practices.

For City of Berkeley residents: The City of Berkeley no longer provides vector control services to its residents, property owners, or property managers as of July 1, 2026. These services have transitioned to the Alameda County Vector Control Services District. For assistance with issues involving rodents, insects (such as bedbugs, fleas, or cockroaches), or nuisance wildlife (such as bats, raccoons, opossums, or skunks), please contact Alameda County Vector Control Services at 510-567-6800 or visit https://acvcsd.org/request-service/ to submit a service request or access additional information.
