Family Support and Engagement

Families are fundamental in the lives of children and youth. Healthy attachment to parents and caregivers fosters children’s natural resiliency and development and is a key protective factor against the impacts of childhood adversity and trauma. Our family strategy has four interconnected areas of focus: Family Resource Centers; Leadership and Peer-to-Peer Supports Development; Family Navigation; and Family Workshops. Together with our partners and parent leaders, these create a powerful approach for addressing health inequities and improving health for children and youth.
