Administrative Services Division

Administrative Services provides a broad spectrum of administrative and financial services for Department operations in an efficient, effective manner. The unit maintains the fiscal integrity of the Department and assures all Alameda County policies and procedures are adhered to. Administrative Services also registers all births and deaths that occur in the County and supports the Medical Marijuana Identification Card Program and The Maddy Emergency Medical Services Fund (SB12).

Major Division Components

Budgets, Contracts and General Services:

  • Provide budget preparation, financial forecasting and preparation of budget reports.
  • Serve as fiscal liaison with program staffs and contract processing.

Maddy Emergency Medical Services Fund (SB12)

Medical Marijuana Identification Card Program (MMICP)

The MMICP is a voluntary card program that allows law enforcement to verify the validity of a patient's authorization to use medical marijuana.

Vital Registration

This program registers home / out-of-hospital births that have occurred in Alameda County in the last year and also provides permits for funeral directors who are handling or transporting deceased persons.
