An organized network of healthcare facilities, emergency responders, and protocols designed to provide rapid and efficient care for individuals experiencing traumatic injuries. The system includes designated trauma centers, such as hospitals with specialized capabilities to handle severe injuries, as well as pre-hospital services like paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).
