Blue Skies Mental Wellness
The Blue Skies Mental Wellness Program promotes the emotional health and well-being of pregnant individuals and parents with children under age two in Alameda County. The program supports the development of strong, healthy parent–child relationships during this critical early period.
Caminos Program
Caminos is a Countywide effort serving unaccompanied immigrant youth and children of migrant families and building the capacity of schools and districts to support newcomers.
CARE Court
The CARE Act authorizes specified adult persons to petition a civil court to create a voluntary CARE agreement or a court ordered CARE plan for persons with untreated schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders.
Contracts and Community Engagement
The Contracts and Community Engagement Team manages contract lifecycles, ensures compliance with contract deliverables, and build partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Family Liaison Professional Development
We provide a range of professional development and skill building for school-based and community-based staff working directly with families.
Family Navigation
Family resource navigation is provided by our staff and partner organizations to assist parents and caregivers with basic needs, access to health care and health insurance coverage, and other challenges facing Alameda County families.
Family Resource Centers (FRC)
FRCs support families with navigating health care, food, housing, and other basic needs, while also providing workshops, training, and other opportunities in a supportive, easy-to-access space.
Family Workshops and Education
Our staff provides and coordinates district and/or school-based workshops for families on a variety of topics related to health and wellness.
Fatherhood Initiative
The Fatherhood Initiative centers the experiences and role that fathers play in the healthy development of their children and families through direct services and systems change.
Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR)
The FIMR program in Alameda County gathers data on fetal and infant loss, sharing it with providers to analyze and make community, behavioral, and healthcare system improvements.
Healthy Families Alameda County
Healthy Families Alameda County is an evidence-based, comprehensive, intensive home visiting program by trained social workers.
Nurse Family Partnership (NFP)
Nurse Family Partnership is a home visiting program that partners nurses with first-time moms, in order to give babies the best start in life.
Office of Family Empowerment
We engage, promote, and support families, family-run organizations, and programs of those whose loved ones receive care. We also train and enable families to be certified to join the workforce.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
CalFresh, known federally as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), provides monthly assistance for low or no income individuals and families to purchase nutritious food.
WIC Dental Days
The Office of Dental Health partners with Alameda County’s WIC Program, offering dental education and services for children ages 0-5.
Youth Opportunity Initiative
We fund and support a group of community-based organizations working to interrupt cycles of inequity and create schools and communities that support all young people to succeed and thrive.
