Community Health Promotion

(AED) Automated External Defibrillator / (PAD) Public Access Defibrillation Program

The Alameda County EMS Agency promotes County-wide AED placement and usage through our Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program, registering the locations of AEDs, tracking their usage, and ensuring that they are ready when needed.

Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Program (AOD)
AOD works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners to reduce and prevent high risk behaviors in youth and ensure all are college, career, and life ready.

Care Partners

Care Partners
Alameda County Care Partners is a care coordination program that provides engagement, information, education, resources, and advocacy to low-income older adults and people with disabilities in Alameda County so that they can stay safely at home with an improved quality of life.

Coaching and Consultation

We provide consultation with a coaching stance to collaboratives and school, district, and organizational leadership on planning and implementation of school health systems and best practices.

Contracts

The ACBHD Contracts Unit develops, oversees, and administers contracts and other unique service agreements for mental health and substance use disorder services.

LGBTQIA+ Early Intervention Services

Programs for Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and more on the gender and sexuality spectrum (LGBTQIA+) identified youth ages 12-24 and their families.

Measures A, C, & W

Measures A, C, & W
Measures A, C, and W each apply a half percent sales tax to support important health and social services in Alameda County. Together, these Measures create revenue sources that reinforce the County’s Vision 2036 goals.

Recreational Health Program

ACEHD provides inspection services to ensure that public pools, spas, beaches, and other water sports contact areas meet Health and Safety Code standards.

Tobacco Control Program (TCP)

Tobacco Control Program (TCP)
Tobacco is the leading cause of preventable death in California. TCP aims to reduce tobacco-related harm through policy engagement, education, and community partnerships. Services include policy development support, tobacco treatment resources, partnership with youth tobacco prevention programs, and enforcement of tobacco laws to create a healthier environment for all.
