EMS for Children

Alameda County’s EMS for Children (EMSC) program works to reduce pediatric injury, disability, and death by strengthening prevention efforts and ensuring emergency responders and hospitals are prepared to care for children. Our goal is that every child—no matter where they live, learn, or travel in Alameda County—receives the highest quality care in any emergency. Through specialized training, proper equipment, and evidence-based protocols, we continually evaluate and improve how we care for children in crisis.
