Program Information

Healthy Families Alameda County is an evidence-based, comprehensive, intensive home visiting program by trained social workers. Designed to promote maternal and child health, strengthen parent-child interactions, and support child development and family protective factors. Visits begin prenatally or shortly after childbirth and conclude when the child turns 3 years old

Services

A home visiting program by trained social workers promotes maternal and child health, enhances parent-child interactions, and supports child development and family protective factors. Visits start prenatally or post-birth and end at age three.

Active Alameda County CalWORKS families may receive incentives worth up to $1,000, based on eligibility and available program funding.

Eligibility

  • Pregnant and up-to 2 weeks for non CalWORKS/CHVP
  • Pregnant and up to 2 months postpartum for CalWORKS
