Location: Oakland and Hayward
Age Group Served: Children, Teens, Transition Age Youth (and their families) and Adults and couples who are parents/caregivers
Program Description: Interns work in the TIPS (Treatment Intervention & Prevention Services) under a range of funding sources. They provide office based and telehealth therapy to children, families and adults who are parent/caregivers. They also have the option of assisting with Parent Education classes and working a 2-hour shift on our Parenting Stress Helpline.
Placement Period: 12 month commitment – usually September-August but some flexibility on start date depending on openings
Program/Placement Hours: 20-24 hours per week
Preferred Discipline / Experience: Experience with parents, children, families, culturally diverse populations, trauma all helpful, especially in clinical setting. Bilingual Spanish always a plus!
First or Second Year Students: Second Year students and post graduate registered interns
Supervision & Support: One hour/week individual & two hours/week group supervision, 2-3 times monthly didactic trainings, other consultation available as needed

Stipends Available: $2500/yr for trainees and $3000/yr for registered interns –reimbursement for things that enhance your clinical skills and for self care.
Eligible to apply for the ACBHCS Graduate Intern Stipend Program, up to $6,000 for a minimum of 720 internship hours, awarded through a competitive process
