Location: Dublin, Pleasanton

Age Group Served: Adults, 18 years+

Program Description: Adult Forensics Behavioral Health (AFBH) program administers mental health services at Santa Rita Jail. Clinical team provides forensically focused mental health clinical services to clients in jail setting. These services include mental health evaluations and assessments, including risk of harm to self and others, crisis intervention and crisis stabilization, treatment and re-entry planning. AFBH team works closely with Almeda County Sheriff’s Office, Santa Rita Jail Medical Provider and other programs and agencies.

Placement Period: 6 months to a year(flexible)

Program/Placement Hours: 7am to 3pm; hours and days may vary

Preferred Discipline / Experience: Social welfare, social work, mental health specialty, psychology, forensic psychology

First or Second Year Students: Second year Master’s Level student preferred.

Supervision & Support: Individual supervision 1 hour/week. Monthly training in various clinical topics offered through AFBH, access to training provided through ACBHD.
