Age Group Served: Pregnant and parenting individuals

Program Description: The Blue Skies Mental Wellness Team delivers therapeutic support and evidence-based clinical interventions to pregnant individuals and parents with children under two years of age. BSMWT focuses on trauma-informed care and perinatal mood disorders within the Public Health Department’s Home Visiting program. The team addresses psychosocial challenges, parenting difficulties, and maternal mental health concerns with a compassionate, culturally responsive approach.

Placement Period: 6 to 9 months (academic school year)

Program/Placement Hours: 3 days, 20-24 hours per week preferably Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9-4pm (some flexibility is considered). Thursday mornings are required.

Preferred Discipline / Experience: MSW/ASW, MS/MFTI Counseling Psychology

First or Second Year Students Preferred: 2nd year students in a graduate program

Supervision & Training: Weekly individual supervision and bi-weekly clinical group consultation/supervision
