Audit & Cost Reporting

The ACBHD Audit & Cost Reporting Unit reviews cost reports submitted by providers for Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder services, prepares cost reports for submission to the State Department of Health Care Services, manages DHCS audits and appeals, monitors expenditures for compliance, and completes cost settlements with ACBHD contractors.

Audit & Cost Reporting

The Audit & Cost Reporting Unit is part of the Finance Division. The specific tasks that the Audit & Reporting office completes include: submitting cost reports to the State Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for Mental Health (MH) and Substance Use Disorder Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS); completing cost settlements with providers; hosting cost report training for contractors; managing DHCS Cost Report audits and appeals; completing compliance monitoring of contractor financial reports; acting as ACBHD liaison for the County Single Audit, and recoupment of funds for disallowed services.
