Program Description: Crisis Services is a continuum of care that encompasses field based mobile crisis response to post crisis follow up services. Mobile crisis clinicians are certified to write applications for involuntary holds in Alameda County and are trained in crisis intervention, risk assessment, de-escalation, and diversion. Post crisis follow up staff conduct various forms of outreach including text, phone call, and field based in-person outreach to ensure consumer needs are met post crisis.
Placement Period: Academic school year
Program/Placement Hours: Flexible; Either Wednesdays or Thursdays will be required
Preferred Discipline / Experience: MSW interns
First or Second Year Students: First year interns for post crisis follow up. Second year interns for mobile crisis response.
Supervision & Support: LCSW and/or LMFT & ACBHD intern training program
