Program Description: MPTI @ La Familia’s Pre-Practicum Placement collaborates with CSPP Alliant University to provide an introduction to the mental health field for first year doctoral students. Students have opportunities to participate and shadow clinicians in 4 clinical programs at La Familia, including Sally’s Place, Recovery & Wellness, ACCESS & Team, and the Child and Family Clinic.

Training and Group Supervision focuses on an Introduction to the Mental Health Field, Therapeutic Listening Skills, and Cultural Self-Awareness and Humility.

Placement Period: 1st Week of November – 4th Week of June

Program/Placement Hours: 8 Hours per Week

Preferred Discipline / Experience: Spanish Fluency Preferred

First or Second Year Students: Pre-Practicum Placement for 1st year doctoral students

Practicum Placement for masters and doctoral students

Doctoral Psychology Internship

Postdoctoral Psychology Internship
