Our Integrated Behavioral Health sites (IBH) located at Primary Care Sites & School Based Health Centers): Alameda, Contra Costa & Solano Counties.

Program Description: Community Mental Health Department (Casa del Sol): Fluent bilingual (Spanish) required. Focuses on clients with moderate & severe mental needs; brief & long term treatment, individual, family, & group modalities; psychiatric medications available; student has a caseload & sees patients weekly.
Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH): Fluent bilingual (Spanish) required. Focuses on clients with mild and moderate mental needs; usually brief treatment; individual & groups; student doesn’t have a fixed caseload & they will see some clients consistently, walk-ins, and support with groups.
Placement Period: Community Mental Health Department (Casa del Sol): September through May
Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH): September through May
Program/Placement: Casa del Sol & IBH
Hours: Ability to participate 24hrs/week (2nd year) or 20hrs/week (1st year) for the entirety of the 28-week long placement.
Preferred Discipline / Experience: Community Mental Health Department (Casa del Sol) Casa del Sol & IBH: accepts PsyD/PhD, MFT-track, & MSW students.
Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Casa del Sol & IBH: accepts PsyD/PhD, MFT-track, & MSW students.
First or Second Year Students: Community Mental Health Department (Casa del Sol): accepts second year+ grad students; first year MSW Title IV-E.
Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH): accepts second year+ grad students; first year MSW Title IV-E.
Supervision & Training: Casa del Sol & IBH
Individual Supervision: 1hr/week AND Group Didactic Training = 2 hrs/week
Training topics: Stages of Treatment-Building Rapport/Therapeutic Alliance, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills, Motivational Interviewing, Risk Assessment and Safety Planning Training, Individual and Family Therapy, Assessment, Diagnosis (DSM & ICD-10) and Establishing Medical Necessity, Trauma-informed Therapies and more!
