The mission of the Alameda County Behavioral Health Court (BHC) is to promote public safety and assist severely mentally ill offenders by diverting them away from the criminal justice system and into community treatment. Our goals and objectives are to connect defendants with treatment and right-matched care, improve their quality of life, and reduce recidivism.
