These coalitions and single organizations offer a variety of services, such as health education and access to various medical treatments, among others. Their main objective is to improve community engagement and ensure equitable distribution of health resources by providing targeted outreach and education, engaging priority populations, and improving access to health information in various languages. Their aim is to address health disparities and help support communities affected by public health issues such as infectious diseases like flu, measles, and tuberculosis, chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, mental health conditions, and other health issues.

The coalitions and single organizations promote wellness through health education and meaningful community engagement to connect the most vulnerable populations in Alameda County, particularly those that have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and other health disparities. They operate in areas such as East Oakland, West Oakland, and the unincorporated areas of Alameda County, connecting Alameda County residents to high-quality health services while addressing social and structural determinants of health. The organizations also support civic engagement, advocacy, and community-led programs to mitigate the disproportionate impact of future disease outbreaks.
