The Alameda County Health, Public Health Department’s (ACPHD) Workforce Development Plan fosters a culture of quality and strengthens the workforce’s ability to carry out public health’s 10 essential services. Activities address skill and professional development needs shared across the workforce.
The Workforce Plan provides skill development and technical assistance to the entire workforce in alignment with the Essential Public Health Services and the Foundational Capabilities framework by building the workforce’s ability to demonstrate excellence with all ACPHD’s Public Health Core Competencies. This imperative is executed in close partnership with Health Care Services Agency partners, emphasizing strengthening the public health workforce pipeline. QIA oversees the development and implementation of the department’s workforce development plan.
