EmbraceHer program is a perinatal group intervention model targeting pregnant and parenting reproductive age African American women and birthing people residing in Alameda County.

Program Information

In-person perinatal group health education sessions to support Black women and birthing people’s well-being, healthy pregnancy, child development, and trauma recovery. Offerings include Beloved Birth Black Centering (BBBC) group prenatal care in partnership with Alameda Health System. BBBC provides group perinatal care through 15 biweekly sessions.

Program Services

Individual care coordination focused on care plans, referrals, advocacy, social support, and linkage to community services.

Eligibility

  • African American pregnant women and birthing people.
  • Resident of Alameda County.
  • Patient of Alameda Health System.
