Self-Testing for HIV, STDs, and HCV

Self-Testing for HIV, STDs, and HCV

ACPHD offers self-testing for HIV, STDs, and HCV via a program called TakeMeHome. TakeMeHome is a FREE sexual health home testing program. Alameda County residents, 14 years and older, are able to order free in-home sexual health test kits that are mailed discreetly to their door. Test options include:

  • HIV
  • Hepatitis C
  • Syphilis
  • Gonorrhea
  • Chlamydia

Learn more about TakeMeHome and sign up for a free test kit.

How does it work?

  • Visit TakeMeHome.org and enter your Alameda County zip code and check your eligibility.
  • Select your preferred testing option(s).
  • Your test(s) will be discreetly mailed to your home.
  • Depending on the test(s) you ordered, you’ll receive your results directly at home. If you opted for a lab-based test, simply mail your kit back, and your results will be sent to you via email.
